THIS LISTING IS FOR AN UNUSUAL ROSEWOOD PLATFORM PINCUSHION STAND WITH ORIGINAL PINCUSHION ON TOP FROM THE VICTORIAN PERIOD, c. MID-LATE 1800's.
THIS WONDERFUL PINCUSHION HAS BEAUTIFUL CARVED DETAILS AND EXCELLENT QUALITY WORKMANSHIP.  I'M CERTAIN THAT YOU WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT.
MEASURES SLIGHTLY OVER 3" HIGH (AS SHOWN), 5 1/4" LONG AND 3" WIDE. WEIGHS 6 OUNCES.
THE ROSEWOOD BASE IS IN EXCELLENT ESTATE CONDITION ALTHOUGH THERE IS SLIGHT CORNER SEPARATION ON ONE END. THE PINCUSHION TOP ORIGINALLY HAD A BLACK FABRIC COVER WHICH IS WORN AND MISSING, HOWEVER, THE PINCUSHION BODY IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND IS ORIGINAL TO THE BASE. THE ROSEWOOD HAS ITS ORIGINAL PATINA.
THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL SEWING COLLECTIBLE FROM THE VICTORIAN PERIOD AND IT WOULD CERTAINLY BE AN ASSET TO ANY SEWING ACCESSORY COLLECTION.
