2 Carved Nut Baskets Possibly Civil War

Description

Two possibly Civil War Soldier carved Nut Baskets - one from a peach pit and the second may be an ash or black walnut nut shell.  It was popular for soldiers during the Civil War to carve nuts shells into different forms including baskets to send to their loved ones back home - and these two are special.  The peach pit is carved into a footed flower basket and the large shell is also a nicely carved basket and carefully hollowed out.
Both are in undamaged clean original condition.
