Antique French Wooden Military Sewing Etui Needle Case, Stiletto & Bobbins WW1

Description

This little sewing kit is carved of wood ( box tree )and was issued to French soldiers during World War I.
The top has spools for 4 thread colors and the base contains and a needle case . Above that is a section that unscrews and holds a steel stiletto.

with signs of age and use
It measures 5 1/2" long and has a lovely old patina.
Everything screws together well.
