Description
This is a lot of 3 sets of Sewing/darning needles. The first one is an antique as best shown with the 1910 and 1911 calendars. Made in NY USA. This is a wonderfully kept set of needles, Compliments of Huberty Bros. from Le Sueur, MN. All the needles appear to be in the packet. The cardboard holder it comes has a little discoloration inside from the needles on the opposite side of the folder, but being over 100 yrs old, it's very good condition. What is interesting in this antique set is a little pouch of needles with gause to help contain them. The pictures show a little corner bend, and front that has a slight crease (picture hard to display as it is so slight). This particular one of the three is the most rare and in best condition.
The second vintage set of sewing needles is labeled Happy Home. Made in Japan. Some needles are missing but most are still in it. The cardboard holder is in very good condition. No date on this set, but given marked Made In Japan, these are probably from 1960s.
The third is labeled Sewing Circle. Made in Occupied Japan. This has about half the needles remaining, nickle plated rust proof. None of the needles are rusted, so it works. The cardboard folder does have a tear through on back and front (same areas), and creasing on the corner.
No date on these but given marked as Occupied Japan, should be between 1947 and 1952.
Stored in a non-smoking environment.
