    Description

Colorful Antique Fold Out Needle Box
    English * Circa 1870s
This sweet little needle box is made of heavy card covered with old gold velvet and a variety of embossed papers. It's in the form of a book and the front cover has a hand holding a fan with roses and forget me nots. It says "In fond remembrance". When open, inside the top has a picture of a fashionably dressed lady.
Inside is a fold out section with 4 plaid panels and straps to hold needle packets. They hold 3 packets of needles. The backs of these panels are covered with textured gold paper as are the side "pages" of the book.
It's all original and in very nice condition inside and out, unusual for a fragile piece of this type and age. Closed, it measures 2 3/8" wide
    by 2 3/4" high
    by 1 1/8" deep.
I stand behind everything that I offer and
    guarantee
that it is exactly as presented.
