No one can dispute what an amazing detector the new Minelab Equinox is.  The 2 piece metal upper rod certainly has some advantages if you are traveling and want to break the detector down to stow in a suit case.
However, our upper Carbon fiber rod is 2.2 ounces lighter than the stock 2 piece Minelab rod.  Doc's Carbon Fiber upper weighs only GET THIS, 4.2 ounces.  It is also more stable because it only has one knurled knob adjustment point instead of two.
Doc's Carbon Fiber Upper is drilled with smooth non-ragged holes at the precise location as the stock rod.  You can attach the head of the Equinox, and adjust the arm rest exactly as you had it on the stock rod.  The Upper Carbon Fiber rod is 34 inches long.
Included standard with the rod package are two (2) 28 inch long lower rods.  (The stock Minelab lower rod will not fit into our Upper Carbon Fiber rod.)  It is just a little too big by a millimeter.  You could force it, but I advise against it.  No need to use it as we give you two lower rods.
Use one rod on the coil you use the most and use the other rod for your 6 inch or 15 inch coil.
Also included are 6, Authentic Velcro® ties to secure the coil cable to the rods, as well as two sets of plastic bolts and wing nuts.  The stock Minelab Nut and Bolt will also work.
I strongly advise that when you mount the coils on Doc's lower fiber rods, you use a little soapy water on the washers of the rod, to help ease the positioning of the rod head inside the coil ears and to help align the holes so you can easily insert the nut and bolt.

Included with Doc's Essential Rod Kit and Accessories for the Minelab Equinox 600 / 800 are:
One (1) high quality light weight real carbon fiber upper with 7 adjustment holes so you adjust the lower rod to find the exact length to suit you.  As well as 4 adjustment holes for the arm cuff.
Two (2) 28 inch lower fiberglass rods.  No more unscrewing the coil, to switch to your secondary coil.  Simply switch the rods with your coil already attached.
6 real VELCRO® brand tie wraps, 3 for each rod to make sure your coil cable is securely attached.
*We use authentic Gorilla Glue® brand glue in assembling our lower rods.  Gorilla Glue expands as it dries.  Accordingly you may find some excess dried glue on the rods, down where the head of the rod is glued and pinned with a nylon pin.  This is perfectly normal and does not effect the functionality of these high quality products.  The excess glue will wear off with use.
