It also has a finger guard, to prevent your hand from slipping onto the blade. The rubber handle helps you maintain your grip as well.
This trowel also comes with a FREE SHEATH! It is the "slip in" type of sheath so that you can easily holster it. This type of sheath doesn't have a clip, just a small "keeper" to retain it. This lets you put it in and out easily with one hand! It is made of heavy duty denier Nylon.
This is exactly what you need to dig up your treasures when metal detecting. I use one myself here in the desert in AZ, and it has held up very well.
I also use it when digging while prospecting gold. It works great to dig around and pry out small rocks too.
