    Description

    RARE victorian brass dome shaped pin case. Made by W. Avery & Son. Case is stamped with W. AVERY & SON, REDDITCH, UNIVERSAL and PATENTED on the top side. It is circa 1850's and is English in origin. On the top where AVERY & SON IS STAMPED, A slight push reveals a slit where the pins are inserted. This slides smooth and easy. On the underside is another slide that allows the removal of the pins. It also slides smooth and easy. A very clever and functional design. We have not polished this item leaving the original patina as found. A great and rare item to add to any collection.
